Kışa henüz girdiğimiz, en kalın paltolarımızla yeni yeni buluştuğumuz şu günlerde Prada, İstinyePark’ ta gerçekleştirdiği İlkbahar/Yaz12 koleksiyon tanıtımıyla içimizi ısıttı. Bu yaz Prada bizi 50’lere götürecek. Dönemin çarpıcı sembollerinden biri olan Chevy’ler gömleklerin, ayakkabıların, eteklerin üzerinde. Markanın bu sezonki erkek yüzü ise Funny Games’in amerikan versiyonundan hatırlayacağınız Michael Pitt. Çekimlerde amaçlanan da 50’lerin Hollywood erkeğini yansıtmak. Benim gözüme takılan ise Pitt’in “kiraz dudakları” ndan başkası değil.  Öyle ya da böyle Miuccia Prada’nın da dediği gibi “Zaman, geçmişi reddetmeden geleceğe bakma zamanı”. Benim içinse “Zaman, dudakları göz ardı edip kıyafetlere odaklanma zamanı.”

While winter is just coming, and we are newly taking off our greatcoats, Prada warms us inside with their Spring/Summer12 presentation at IstinyePark, Istanbul. This summer Prada is going to take us back to the 50s.  Chevys, that are one of the outstanding symbol of that era, are on shirts, shoes and skirts. Michael Page, who is well-known for his role in the american version of Funny Games, is the new face of Prada for the design house’s Spring/Summer12 menswear campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to reflect the 50s era Hollywood men but the only thing that catch my eye is the "cherry lips" of Pitt. One way or another, as Miuccia Prada said “It is a time to look toward the future, without denying the past”. And for me “It is a time to focus on clothes, denying the lips Michael Pitt.”
